HIRING OF GODOWNS FOR FCI, ASSAM

     The Food Corporation of India, Assam Region invites offers from interested parties, firms, persons for hiring of storage worthy Godowns for foodgrains on hire/rental basis at various places in Assam, preferably near the Railway siding / FCI Depots. The minimum storage capacity should be not less than 2000 MTs.

     The interested parties may submit their offers to the General Manager(R), Food Corporation of India, Regional Office, G.S. Road, Ulubari, Guwahati-7 within 10(ten) days from the date of publication of this advertisement.

     The Food Corporation of India reserves all rights to accept or reject any or all the offers without assigning any reason.

Terms and conditions and other details for hiring of private godowns for FCI :

1. General information to be furnished by the applicant:

i.    Name of the party.
ii.   Complete postal address with phone no if any.
iii.   Location of godown,
iv.   Area of godown,
v.    Facilities existing such as boundary wall, electrification, drinking water facility, office block, lorry weighbridge (existence of lorry weigh bridge is not mandatory), chowkidar quarters, lavatory block, sanitary post,
vi.   Storage capacity.
vii.   Distance from nearest railway station to the proposed godown,
viii.  Distance from the existing FCI godown to the proposed godown,
ix.   Plot No., Dag No., proof of ownership,
x.    Intended period of lease,
xi.   Rent per sqmt./per month of plinth area,
xii.   Lay out plan with approach road,
xiii.  Any other terms and conditions on part of the owner.

2. Terms and conditions:

i.    The godowns should be available for a minimum period of 2 to 3 years and the owner will enter into agreement with the FCI. Copy of the lease deed containing terms and conditions may be obtained from the Regional Office FCI, Guwahati/ or from the Area Managers concerned.
ii.    The rent will be paid on per sq.ft/per month basis.
iii.    Preference will be given to godowns near to Railway siding and also scientific and Storage-worthy godowns.
