TENDER NOTICE
For and on behalf of Food Corporation of India,
the General Manager(R), Food Corporation of India, Assam Region, Guwahati
invites tenders in two Bid tendering system (Technical Bid & Price Bid) from
experienced and bonafide Handling / Transport Contractors with strong
financial background having experience of Handling / Transportation with
Manufacturing / Handling Agency / Govt. / P.S.U. / Public Limited Company
dealing in fertilizer / foodgrains / cement or similar products during
preceding 2(two) years (13.02.2006 to 12.02.2008) of transport contracts,
the total value of which is not less than 50% of the estimated value as
stated below, OR
The tenderer should have executed in the immediately
preceding 2 (two) years(13.02.2006 to 12.02.2008) any single contract, the
value of which is not less than 25% of estimated value as stated below, and
parties who have not been blacklisted by FCI, or Govt. / Quasi Govt.
Organization for appointment of transport contractor on regular basis as per
detail given below.
The tender form (not transferable) embodying the terms
& conditions can be obtained from Regional Office (Contract Section), FCI,
Assam Region, Guwahati on application in letter Head and Payment of Cost
indicated below during working days upto 06.03.08 between 10.00 A.M. to
2.00 P.M. Parties fulfilling the above criteria need only apply.
The Technical Bid must be accompanied with prescribed
Earnest Money as stated below in the form of Demand Draft / Pay Order
in favour of the Food Corporation of India, Guwahati drawn on any scheduled
Bank and Payable at Guwahati. Tenders not accompanied by earnest
money in the prescribed form shall be summarily rejected
Tenderers are advised to ensure submission of all
certificates / documents indicated in the Tender form/Technical Bid portion
and also attested copies of their passport size photographs (3 copies) along
with the Technical Bid failing which the tender may be treated as
incomplete and may not be considered. The contractor to be appointed would
be required to submit an affidavit to the effect that the moveable/immovable
properties will not be transferred/ disposed during currency of the
contract, if so desired by the Corporation.
The contractor(s) to be appointed is required to obtain
insurance coverage of the stocks to be transported by them on behalf of Food
Corporation of India and premium of which shall be borne by the Contractor(s).
In case of handling works at Dergaon & HTC work for Furkatting to Dergaon
the successful contractor is also required to obtain necessary license from
the Assistant Labour Commissioner (Central) under contract labour (R & A)
Act.1970.
The Technical Bid and Price Bid are to be
simultaneously submitted in two separate envelopes, clearly superscribed
as Technical Bid and Price Bid and finally put in double sealed
envelopes, the inner envelope superscribing the Tender No./Date and name
of the work. The outer cover shall be addressed to the General Manager, Food
Corporation of India, Guwahati without any indication that a tender is
contained inside. The tenders will be received on dated 07.03.08 in
the office of the General Manager (Region), Food Corporation of India, Assam
Region, Guwahati upto 1.00 P.M. and will be opened on the same day at 2.00
P.M. in the presence of the tenderers or their authorised representatives
who may wish to be present. The Price Bid envelops of only those tenderers
that are found technically qualified, would be opened on the date to be
fixed by General Manager (Assam Region). The date/time of opening of the
Price Bid will be intimated to qualified tenderers only.
The General Manager reserves the right to accept or
reject any or all tenders and/or to divide the work among more than one
tenderer without assigning any reason. The decision of the General Manager
(Assam Region) will be binding on the tenderers. The Tender Notice is also
