NOTICE INVITING TENDER No. 1 OF 2008-09

     Sealed tenders are invited under two bid system on behalf of the Food Corporation of India from reputed manufacturers / authorized Agencies of Electronic Lorry Weighbridge (ELWB) having maintenance service facilities within the North Eastern States for taking up urgent rectification work ‘Replacement of Platform, channels , girders etc, on buy back basis including execution of relevant civil works, modification of electronic equipments if required with up gradation to 40 MT capacity and stamping and commissioning of existing 30 MT capacity Electronic Lorry Weighbridge of Schenck Jenson & Nicholson make at FSD New Guwahati’ on Turn Key Basis and its continuous maintenance thereafter.

     Tender documents (non-transferable) containing term and conditions can be obtained from the Asstt. Genl. Manager (Elect), at this office address on payment of Rs. 500/- (Rupees five hundred) only, per set (non- refundable) by B.C./ Pay order/ DD of any Scheduled Bank (non-refundable) only drawn in favour of Food Corporation of India payable at Guwahati during office hours on production of valid Sales Tax / works contract clearance certificate from the Sales Tax authorities of the State as applicable And License for installation, commissioning and maintenance of Electronic Lorry Weigh bridge issued by concerned State metrology Deptt. / Authority. Application for Tender documents duly accompanied by the above mentioned credentials along with sufficient documentary evidence of past experience of similar works will be received in this office up to 2.00 PM on 09/05/08 only and tender documents will be issued up to 12/05/08.

     Completed tender accompanied with Earnest Money amounting to Rs. 25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand) only, in the form of B.C./ Pay Order/ DD only, drawn in favour of Food Corporation of India, payable at Guwahati , will be received by the Asstt. Genl. Manager (Elect) of this office up to 2 PM on 14/05/08 and will be opened on the same day at 3 PM in presence of the intending tenderers of their authorized representative. Tenders not accompanied with the Earnest Money shall be summarily rejected .


     The Food Corporation of India reserves the right to accept or reject any or all tenders without assigning any reason what so ever. Time allowed for completion of the work will be 30 (thirty) days only.
